What is Rehabilitation? One of our biggest myth is that “rehabilitation is detoxification”
Another myth is that Rehabilitation is just the process of getting over the withdrawal symptoms, whereas rehabilitation is not just getting over withdrawals and detox, Rehabilitation is way more than that.

Rehabilitation is about change, our body gets destroyed when we use substances/ drugs, it’s not just physical change because drug addiction is less physical and more psychological, our personality changes, people get psychotic due to constant use of drugs.

Drug Addiction gives an individual four disorders.

1. Physical Disorder

2. Psychological Disorder

3. Social Disorder

4. Spiritual Disorder

These disorders take time to appear and we cannot expect ourselves to get over them right after the detoxification.

The best rehabilitation centers are the ones who don’t just provide you with detox or Hardcore medication, the best rehabilitation service is the service where you get physically treated as well as psychologically treated, it means recovering all four disorders.

Also, we have seen that in such process, there is one treatment program for all the Patients, whereas this is wrong, a single treatment program won’t fit everyone.

Every patient, every individual, every disease should have a different treatment program, a schizophrenic patient should have a different treatment program and a patient with heroin addiction.

Quitting substances is one of the targets, but “Drug Addiction” Is something that is considered as a stigma in our society and people with SUD are not accepted nor tolerated, their self-esteem gets really hurt and for that clients go through the reintegration process in which they make themselves good enough to go back in the society, prove themselves and become a successful and respectable citizen and member of both Family and the society. Because by doing that they can contribute towards the betterment of the country and society as well.
